"Jesus specifically warned against greed and spent his life helping the sick and needy. Yet, the Republican economic ideology completely contradicts that. They build their philosophies based on the notion that if you feed greed more, every one else will benefit. They fight for the right of millionaires and billionaires to keep more, and claim it’s the poor and needy in this country that drain our resources. They’ve convinced millions that a handful of people controlling the vast majority of our wealth is a good thing and poor people are the cause of our nation’s economic troubles. After all, it was America’s poor that caused the Great Depression and the Great Recession, right? Oh, no—they were both mainly caused by corruption in the financial sector and the greed of a few."
