Jesus spent a great deal of time weaning people away from natural concerns and putting God first. He wanted them to understand that the natural realm is taken care of… when we seek the Kingdom of God FIRST… all these things that are needed.. are just added to us. We do not even have to ask. In our day.. preachers are not ashamed in a minute to promise blessings in the natural realm.. (and yes.. God does bless us in the natural realm.. but that is not to be first) come on… let us pray over your billfolds and God will give you money as you give to me . Come on… put in the offering plate.. be a giver and God will give to you. Can we not see the hidden motives with this junk? Aren’t we supposed to give expecting nothing in return? Should not ministries express the same? Should not ministries do like Jesus and get the people to major on seeking first the kingdom… and then all those other things will be added in their lives?
