Jewel Cave is accessible… come visit! Although some visitors with disabilities or impairments might assume that Jewel Cave is not an easy environment to tour, we are proud to offer a cave experience that is wheelchair and handicap accessible. The Discovery Talk is a 20-minute interpretive presentation that exposes participants to one large room along the ever-popular Scenic Tour route. The presentation offers an introduction to Jewel Caves natural and cultural history. Visitors also see two different types of the calcite crystals - the jewels of Jewel Cave. Of course, the Discovery Talk provides limited exposure to the cave resource, yet visitors seem to enjoy the opportunity. NOTE: The Discovery Talk is also a wonderful educational experience for families with young children or visitors that desire a shorter cave experience!
