Jeweler Charlie Herner, of Green Lake Jewelry Works icreated the LeBeau ring with his LaserStar Technologies Corporation laser welding machine. The ring was created for the MJSA Vision Awards Competition. "The aid of the laser was crucial in the execution this piece, said Charlie. I used the laser to fix minor casting defects and to join the 3 parts to keep from damaging the leather insert. I also used 20ky gold laser wire to hand sew the leather as an added touch. Without the use of a laser, this piece would be almost impossible to produce."
