Jfk was an awesome experience. For a year where I have struggled with my ankle and then with bronchitis, I was able to claw my way to a 5th place finish in around 6:11. I went out conservative, coughed some, surged like a champ through most of the towpath going from 7th to 3rd in a matter of miles, eating 25 gels, and then cramping up and struggling from 38 to the finish. With not much training after Tussey today was a great day! Thank you to my Love Ashlee Prewitt , my father , friends, family, sponsors. Time to rest and get some solid running in for snowshoe season!
