Jim Staley is apparently re-branding his ministry as Christian Roots as opposed to Hebrew Roots. I actually didnt know was a difference, but some people seem to be very passionate about this semantic distinction. What do you think? - quote from Nehemiah Gordon, a Karaite Jew. [I personally agree with this re-branding as my 6 month experience with the Hebrew Roots Movement has led me to conclude it is indeed alienating many of our Christian brethren, from whom I myself was taught and was baptized into following YHWHs conversion/salvation of my wrath-deserving state of condemnation on Passover/Pesach of 1980. Thankfully, the Qodesh/Holy Ruach/Spirit has convicted me of this extreme and at times vicious, un-loving HRM arrogance, and I have posted an overdue apology, by Yahshuas grace and mercy. Although I am eternally grateful that I have been led to the glorious blessings of discovering the deep Hebrew roots of Christianity and especially the restoration of the centuries old practice of suppression of His almighty Names (YHWH/Yahweh/Yahuwah and Yahuwsha/Yahshua/Yeshua, et al), I cannot categorize my Christian brethren as lost or going to hell for perhaps ignorantly using the mistransliterated English term, Jesus Christ. I was saved by that Name, in my ignorance, and I have been growing in the Ruach/Spirit through that Name since 1980. Although, I am convinced that the Hebrew nomenclature is preferable and more-honoring to our Sovereign Hebrew Elohim/G-d, I cannot, in good Messianic Christian conscience, condemn or disparage my brothers and sisters in the faith known worldwide as Reformed Christianity. Christian Roots are Hebrew Roots but with a less confrontational and less divisive terminology. I call upon my Hebraic Roots brethren to prayerfully reassess their zeal and hostile intolerance towards genuine, faithful Christianity (which I still agree is in a state of steady decline and prophesied apostasy).
