Jim and I had a fantastic 27 hours. We left Friday at 5:30 and headed up to Boone Iowa to ride the steam train. Stayed in a hotel for the night, got up and headed to Ledges State Park and did a great hike. It was cool and windy but we stayed out of the wind as much as possible. The leaves were crunching under our feet and I loved it. The first 3 pics are from the park. We headed over to the train depot and thoroughly enjoyed riding the train. We go over a bridge that is several hundred feet high and it scared the bageebees out of me. after the train, we headed to Freedom Rock. Val and Dan had told us about it so we stopped by. Very cool. Our last stop was at a restaurant/bar in Elk Horn Iowa for the best tenderloin sandwich in Iowa and I agree. Their broasted chicken is awesome too. Got home Saturday night. Fun times with my hubby.
