The character of Shaytaan wouldnt be completed unless we study the entire creation of Jinn.In general, Jinns are everywhere, but most often they are found in abandoned buildings and areas , the open fields and dessert. They also occupy places of impurity like toilets; garbage dumps, graveyards and anywhere, people with the evil nature ask and attract their presence for harming fellow beings. Some live among us.As far as Shaytaan (Ibis) is concerned, his throne is on the water, what ocean? River or part of the world? It is an untold mystery. Jabir (RA) reported that Allahs Messenger (ﷺ) said: Iblis places his throne upon water; he then sends detachments (for creating dissension) ; the nearer to him in rank are those who are most notorious in creating dissension. [Sahih Muslim 2813 b] [In-book reference : Book 52, Hadith 60] There is a general concept about jinns to be the original or the first inhabitant of the earth, which could not be clearly verified from Quran or Sahih Ahadith. According to Tafsir Taberi: Ibn Abbas (ra) narrates, And He created man from clay. The first to dwell on earth were the jinn. They caused corruption on it, shed blood, and killed each other. He continued. God sent Iblis to them with an army of angels. They were that tribal group called jinn. Iblis and those with him caused a bloodbath among them and eventually banished them to the islands in the oceans and the mountainsides. His success went to his head, and he said: I have done something nobody has ever done before. He continued. God was aware of how Iblis felt, but the angels who were with him were not. God said to the ones who is along with the Iblis, I am setting on the earth a vicegerent. Then the angels said, Will you set therein one who will cause disorder and corruption on it and shed blood, while we glorify You with Your and declare that You alone are all-holy and to be worshipped as God and Lord. Narrated Abu Hurairah: The Prophet said, When any human being is born, Satan touches him at both sides of the body with his two fingers, except Jesus, the son of Mary, whom Satan tried to touch but failed, for he touched the placenta-cover instead. (Sahih Al Bukhari 3286) [In-book reference : Book 59, Hadith 95] The only humans allowed to see Jinn in their original forms are prophets of Allah. We can not see them until they change their forms as human, animals or other objects.
