Joan like many seniors struggle with having their means meet. Today St. Vinent de Paul - Placer Countys Bags program helps with groceries each month. In 2003, the City of Roseville awarded St. Vincent with a Community Development Block Grant for the BAGS Program. The goal of the BAGS Program is to deliver monthly groceries to low-income, homebound senior citizens and handicapped individuals who live within the Roseville city limits. This year, St. Vincent is proud to celebrate its tenth year of BAGS Program service; we expect to continue for many decades to come. Today, 16 teams of volunteers deliver groceries to 96 households each month, feeding 121 individuals a month. Ten of the teams come from Pleasant Grove Community Church, National Charity League, Saint Clare Knights of Columbus and Circle of Friends. Individuals and families cover the remaining six days.
