Job 1:21 And said, Naked came I out of my mothers womb, and naked - TopicsExpress

Job 1:21 And said, Naked came I out of my mothers womb, and naked shall I return thither: the Lord gave, and the Lord hath taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord. Consider who it is that said this. Job had lost EVERYTHING. His riches, his health, and his family. All gone. In one day at that! Circumstances that certainly would have shown themselves as supernatural. After all, how is it possible to lose EVERYTHING in one day??! Unless the hand of God is in it (as if His hand isnt in all things!) Job recognized this sovereignty right away. He did not doubt. Today we blame satan or our own failures. But God is sovereign as He was then. God is the designer of all things. So, knowing this, Job trusted. He rested in God and gave the only answer a born again child should give to any problem. The Lord gives, and the Lord takes away. Blessed be the Name of the Lord! Do you have the faith to do that? Do you have the trust and peace to rest in His hands? No matter WHAT He determines for you? What if He sees that poverty is what you need? What if He sees that solitude is what you need? What if He sees that prison is what you need? A wheelchair? A hospital bed? Will you still trust Him? Will you respond like Job did? This kind of trust is learned. Youve read His promises. To never leave you, to work all things for your good, to never let you be utterly cast down, to bring you to His glory in righteousness. So do you trust Him? Will you REST as He works? Will you trust His Sovereign Hand? Or will you rage against the machine? Will you, like the Jews in the desert, complain and grumble? I fall into that myself sometimes. But God is in control. God has this. And if He determines that it is best for me to lose family, health, and home...so be it. He knows what He is doing. Blessed be the name of the Lord!! https://youtube/watch?v=uVyAMvx4PdQ
