Job ID: 234RK Job Title: Quality Engineer / Inspector Salary Range: $65K - $72K Travel Required: Approximately20% Domestic & International An Atlanta, GA area client has an IMMEDIATE NEED for a Quality Engineer who has a Bachelors engineering ( Electrical, Electro-Technical, Electronic, Quality ) degree from an ACCREDITED college or university. Candidates who have relevant practical and applicable experience with other education background may be considered. The client prefers local candidates but will consider assisting the right candidate with relocation. The MUST HAVE REQUIREMENTS are: * Bachelors degree ( Electrical, Electro-Mechanical, Quality, Mechanical Engineering ) or Associates Degree * 3 – 5 years work experience, depending on your educational background in commercial nuclear industry & Nuclear Quality Assurance * Thorough understanding of Quality Assurance regulations, standards & guidelines such as 10 CFR 50 Appendix B, 10 CFR 21, ASME NQA-1, IEEE Standards, etc. * Effectively perform & document audit, inspection & oversight activities * Hold or be able to obtain Nuclear Lead Auditor Certification * Have excellent communication skills working with all levels of the organization * Be able to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings and schematics * High degree of proficiency in the use of computers & software packages PLUSSESin this position are: * Prior experience in shop fabrication environment ( electronic, electro-mechanical, mechanical ) * Six Sigma / LEAN experience and / or Certifications The RESPONSIBILITIES of this position include but are not limited to: * Provide Quality Assurance ( QA ) support on assigned projects to assuring products meet customer & quality requirements * Perform quality & administrative procedures / development to control design, procurement, sub-contract, and manufacturing activities * Assess & improve QA program requirements (ISO 9001: 2008, 10 CFR 50 Appendix B, 10 CFR Part 21 & NQA-1) * Develop / Review technical evaluations & procurement requirements ( including commercial grade item dedication plans / reports ) * Review / check design engineering, manufacturing & quality documentation to comply with company & customer requirements * Perform supplier quality audits, commercial grade surveys & source inspections, at domestic and European suppliers * Prepare Inspection plans for internal & supplier oversight * Support internal oversight activities including corrective / preventative actions & issue-tracking * Monitor compliance aspects of control & security of classified & unclassified information Initial Screening Questions you WILL be asked · Do you have experience with 10CFR50 Appendix B quality assurance programs; including NQA-1? · Do you have minimum of three (3) years of directly relevant commercial nuclear work history? · Describe your experience as it relates to the quality assurance position described? · Have you completed Nuclear Auditor Training / Certification? · What experience supporting an ISO 9000 quality management system do you have? · Are you familiar with the requirements of IEEE 323/344? · Are you familiar with the requirements of EPRI 5652?
