Job Opening - Education Company: Sultan Qaboos University Hospital Position: Consultant (Department of Pathology) Location: Oman Requirement: Qualification / experience - The candidate must be a board certified in histopathology (anatomical pathology) from UK Ireland / Australia / USA/ Canada or other equivalent board. - Independent reporting of all surgical and cytology specimens for minimum of 5/10 years (consultant / senior consultant). - Experience in using ancillary techniques in histopathology and cytology including immunohistochemistry and E.M. experience in molecular pathology is desirable. Teaching Experience - The candidates must have at least 5/10 (consultant / senior consultant) years experience of teaching medical students and postgraduate residents in pathology. Research: - The candidates must show evidence of peer-reviewed publication in international journals. - Record of developing and securing funded projects. other - Should demonstrate good interpersonal and communication skills work in a multidisciplinary team environment. Benefits: Tax-free salary in Oman and in addition to a good remuneration package, free furnished accommodation, electricity and water allowance, 48 days paid annual leave with return air ticket, end of contracts service gratuity and free medical treatment in the hospital. Contracts are for 2 years, renewable by mutual agreement.
