Job Opportunity: Helping Hounds could not survive without our amazing, dedicated volunteers. The volunteer program has grown and changed quite a bit over the past year, including the introduction of the lanyard system, as well as the newly expanded training program. Just this past week, we received a large number of applications for our April training program. It has become clear that appropriately managing our volunteers requires a dedicated staff person. Luckily, a private donor has come forward and is willing to fund this position. As a result, Helping Hounds is now looking for a part-time (20 hours/week) paid Volunteer Coordinator! If you (or someone you know) has excellent communication skills, is detail-oriented and organized, and has the ability to work both independently and as a member of a team...this could be the job for you. Computer skills and supervisory experience are a plus. Responsibilities include: Recruiting new volunteers, overseeing training of volunteers, scheduling and supervision of over 200 current, active volunteers, implementing volunteer recognition programs, creating volunteer program materials, and database management and tracking of volunteer statistics. If you are interested, please send your cover letter and resume to: kathy@helpinghoundsny or HHDR 6606 Kinne Rd, Dewitt, NY 13214. No calls or drop ins please.
