Job Position : HR Officer Ref : 1576 Location : East London Salary : R24 000 to R27 000 per month commensurate with experience and qualification + Pension Fund, Medical Aid and Annual Bonus + Performance Bonus Qualifications / Requirements: • National Diploma / Degree in HR essential • Proven HR experience • Must be residing in East London area Key Performance Areas: • Employment: o Manage the recruitment process for employees and Interns using the standard recruiting and hiring practices and procedures o Conduct the recruiting planning meetings when required staff is identified o Review CVs for all Candidates and interview Candidates for employment o Serve on Employment Equity and Skills Development Committees • Employment relations: o Assist with the development of Human Resources policies for the company with regard to employee relations o Partners with management to communicate Human Resources policies, procedures, programs and laws o Recommend employee relations practices necessary to establish a positive employer-employee relationship and promote a high level of employee morale and motivation o Participate in the conduct of investigations when employee complaints or concerns are brought forth o Advise Managers and Supervisors about the steps in the progressive discipline system of the company o Counsel Managers on employment issues o Counsel employees on work related and private matters o Assist with the implementation of health programs • Compensation: o Assist with the monitoring of the company wage and salary structure and the variable pay systems within the company including bonuses and raises • Benefits: o Provide day to day benefits administration services o Assist employees with any claim issues o Develop and schedule benefits orientations and other benefits training o Administer disability and workers compensation claims o Recommend changes in benefits offered, especially new benefits aimed at employee satisfaction and retention o Process Manager of company clinic and factory canteen • Law: o Ensure the company complies with all existing state and labour legislation and government reporting including any related to the Employment Equity Act, the Skills Development Act, the Basic Conditions of Employment Act, the Workmens Compensation Act and so forth o Maintain minimal company exposure to lawsuits o Protect the interests of employees and the company in accordance with company Human Resources policies and applicable laws and regulations Please email an updated, detailed CV to [email protected] together with a recent, colour, head and shoulders photograph of yourself.
