Job Title: Senior Software Engineer/Developer Job Field: Emergency Warning & Mass Notification Systems Job Type: Full Time Job Description: Looking for experienced developers on the Windows and MacOS platform to join our development team with a view to a long term commitment to the company. Candidate responsibilities will include the usual aspects of developing and supporting a desktop applications including: 1. Design and implement desktop applications 2. Responsible for all aspects of desktop software development, deployment, and maintenance. 3. Responsible for development of new applications, analyzes current applications and processes, and making recommendations which yield a more cost effective product. 4. Maintain our existing applications, which include fixing critical defects, adding features & enhancements improving the applications’ performance and keeping them current with the new market requirements & emerging technologies. 5. Document, present, and discuss with the software team, major technology and architectural decisions. 6. Provide technical support to our system specialists’ team (as needed). 7. Provides technical leadership, direction, and design expertise to junior team members. 8. Co-work with different F/W and H/W teams locally and globally Job Qualifications: 1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science / Computer Engineering or related discipline. 2. MCP is an advantage 3. 3+ years’ experience in software design and development 4. 4+ experience in building .NET-based solutions using C# and VB.NET 5. Demonstrated experience developing MacOS applications 6. Demonstrated experience creating network/Internet solutions 7. Experience with Active X COM objects and SQL server 8. Experience with at least one mobile platform (Android, iOS...) 9. Experience with GUI design/development 10. Solid understanding of software design methods and techniques. 11. Solid understanding of object oriented programming concepts and design patterns 12. Solid understanding of networking/distributed computing environment concepts 13. Excellent knowledge of UML, to document designs 14. Capable of writing proposals and making presentations to customer or client audiences or professional peers. 15. Organizational and time-management skills under tight deadlines We want a person who is creative, self-motivated, organized, problem solver with high analytical skills; team oriented who will be expected to work hand in hand with our team to develop and maintain a suite of Mass Notification applications across a wide range of desktop and mobile platforms, including Windows, Mac OS, Android and iOS.
