*Job of the Day* Calling all Technicians, School or College leavers!! Our client based in the Cotswolds, is an award winning company specialising in providing services to the food and drink industry. They are seeking a bright and enthusiastic individual to work as a Technician within their Analytical Services Department. You will be responsible for: • Microbiological testing of samples when requested • Decontaminate laboratory waste and discard to outside bins • Sterilise and wash-up used glassware and equipment • Stock control • Maintain laboratory facilities and equipment • Calibration Technician • Record and keep accurate records of work done and all appropriate laboratory information and results using appropriate forms The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a good level of general education and a keen interest in Science. Experience working within a similar role, ideally with some knowledge of microbiological techniques would be advantage although this is not essential as School and College leavers will be considered. You must be able to demonstrate a practical mind, possess a common sense approach to work and be able to follow detailed work instructions. Good communication skills, attention to detail and computer literacy are essential. Due to the location of the role, you must also be a driver with our own transport. Interested?
