Job opportunity (flute teacher): The expanding Music Department at Our Lady of Sion College, Box Hill, seeks a tertiary educated, vibrant and dedicated Flute Teacher to join our team of experienced Instrumental Music Staff for 2015. At this stage the position is estimated at one day private lesson teaching with the aspiration for growth and possible involvement in the Year 7 Instrumental Music Programme. The successful applicant will: · Hold a tertiary qualification on flute and have a diverse range of performance experience · Be highly committed to continuing the development of a thriving program · Be an enthusiastic, passionate, inspiring and reflective educator · Have an excellent and dynamic manner with the ability to form positive rapport with beginning and experienced students of all abilities · Have proven organisation, communication and interpersonal skills · Have a current Working With Children Card · Be a positive role model in this Catholic Girls College · Be available to teach on either a Monday, Tuesday or Friday on a weekly basis. The flexibility to teach junior clarinet and/ or saxophone would be a strong advantage but is not essential.
