Jobs are Jobs… Relationships are relationships, but it’s amazing how much they tend to resemble one another. You should never ever go into any relationship with the idea that this person fills a need you have. This is what you do in a business, not in a marriage. The person you want to build a lasting relationship with is someone you love, not someone you hire to take care of your house, your wash, your kids, your cooking and cleaning. If your mate is ok with you going out without them ? This is a clear indication that this is a career relationship, not a loving relationship. If your mate does not give you affection ? This is a career relationship. Think about, the boss should never care what the employee does before or after work… This is a career. A mate want to do things with you, give you lots of attention and affection… This is a loving relationship. If a mate wants you to pick up after them, fix your food, clean their house ? This is a career relationship. If your mate picks up their own cloths, helps out around the house, finds a sitter for the kids so you both can have an evening out ? This is a loving relationship. Never hate a job you left because you didn’t like it. This job could have paid well and come with benefits, but if it didn’t fit you, then it was not for you. Never hate the employee (Mate) for spreading their wings and flying, why would you want a disgruntled employee anyway. You will never be happy if you take a job because of the pay and benefits, always take a job because you like what you are doing, you like who you work for and you are happy there.
