Joe Carpenter... This tribute to pizza is dedicated to YOU! I just wanted you to know (once and for all!) that NYC pizza was what REAL Italians brought over from Napoli and then Chicagos crappy little Pizzaria Unos CHAIN (who uses a can/powdered mix for their sauce!!) desecrated the sanctity of the pizza by frying it in a swamp of grease & using poor cousin ingredients on it! Now we have pizza chains all over, frozen pizza, and even pizza bites... all because of the rise of Unos and their nasty fake pizza! Lombardis is still open and thriving (as well as Pepes and many others) if you ever make your way back East for a slice of REAL PIZZA! -Lol!!!
