Joe Dorman is asking Mary Fallin to join him in calling for the resignation of State Superintendent Janet Barresi. As the top Superintendent of the state, Barresi has the responsibility to follow the letter of the law. She should be held to the same standards as our educators and resign immediately for her act of moral turpitude by calling a Board member a curse word. Any teacher in the state of Oklahoma that called a Board member a curse word would most likely be fired immediately under the laws of Oklahoma. The Governor has the ability to hire and fire State Board of Education members as well as call for the resignation of a dysfunctional and disrespectful State Superintendent. She keeps proving that she is an ineffectual leader and refuses to represent the people of Oklahoma. It’s a disgrace to the office and a slap in the face to our teachers, parents, and students. Despite their close relationship, Fallin needs to call on Barresi to resign immediately.
