Joe Paterno was a scapegoat. He was told a story about a shower by someone whose story always changes. He went to three school officials, 1 who was in charge of campus police and had connection to earlier case and to D.A. He then went back to them and was told that it was an innocent misunderstanding. The so called independant investigator was a lawyer for the same people and /or agenda within the charities who were being protected all along while everyone pointed at Paterno..look over there style. He was a naive man from a different generation and the least selfish, most conscientious of anyone in the town. How sad that all of those people who he helped make rich turned their backs on him..no one came to his defense. He spent money from his own pocket to help kids at Penn State while others who watched Sandusky take kids overnight and or knew of the first case did nothing to shed perspective..not even so much as a we were all in denial. Nope..they let an old dying man take the blame and suffering for accepting what he was told.
