John Abraham’s latest production Madras Cafe found acceptance from movie buffs after a rather lukewarm start on Friday. The film saw a decent opening weekend. Mired in controversy, Madras Cafe, starring John Abraham and Nargis Fakhri, opened on Friday to a below average start of Rs. 5.10 crore net, which was below the mark. But given the excellent reports and also positive word of mouth, the business picked up substantially on Saturday. The collections spiked up to Rs. 7 crore net, marking a 37 percent rise in business. Sunday turned out still better with Rs. 8.25 crore net. The film’s first weekend collection comes to Rs. 20.35 crore net, which is pretty good. The movie didn’t release in Tamil Nadu but the best audience response came from National Capital Region, Mumbai, East Punjab and Mysore. On the other hand, Prince film is strong and sadia khan’s.. Prince film is simply unstoppable at the box office. The prince-film has become the highest Bollywood grosser of all time by crossing 3 Idiots last week and presently stands at a whopping Rs. 211 crore net. The film has had a dream run and the trade pundits feel it may round off its lifetime business in the range between Rs. 225 crore to Rs. 230 crore, if not more. prince is already elated at the film’s super success. The coming Friday sees the release of Prakash Jha’s film Satyagraha.
