John Allan of the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality’s Office of the Great Lakes is the keynote speaker at this years Freshwater Summit. Hell be speaking about Michigans Water Heritage. Allan has a strong background in fisheries, wildlife and the aquatic sciences and several decades of experience in environmental policy and law. Among other accomplishments, he served as an advisor to the Great Lakes Compact negotiations, co-chaired Michigans Groundwater Conservation Advisory Council and the Water Resources Advisory Council, and was a member of the Midwest Governors Greenhouse Gas Reduction Accord Advisory Group.
