John Edward Grove, 60, of Martinsburg, went to be with the Lord on Friday, August 9, 2013, at Jefferson Medical Center. Born March 14, 1953 in Berkeley County, he was the son of the late Howard Edward Grove and Evelyn Cole (Butts) Grove. He was retired from the VA Medical Center where he served as a firefighter and paramedic, former owner and operator of Grove’s Auto Body, and was a current Bailiff at the Jefferson County Courthouse. Mr. Grove was a life member of the Bedington Volunteer Fire Dept., and a Master Mason A.F. and A.M. He was a graduate of Martinsburg High School. Three things he truly loved “kids, animals, cars in that order”. He is survived by one son, John E. Grove II, of Hedgesville; two daughters, Jennifer Grove Campbell, of Reston, VA, and Wendy Grove, of Hedgesville; three grandchildren, Kelsey and Kamdyn Nolan and Camilla Rose Olimpiew; one sister, Cheryl Grove, of Martinsburg; one niece and one nephew; and his soul mate Norma Watt and her family. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Steven Howard Grove. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, August 12, 2013, at Brown Funeral Home with Pastor Lester Hess officiating. Interment will be held at Rosedale Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Sunday, August 11th, at the Brown Funeral Home.
