John Stossel you used to be a true journalist.What happened ? Did any of you see what happened in Stockton Ca. last week ??? And just so you know cops still need a warrant or search warrant exception to search or seize you your home , car etc . NONE of that has changed .. NONE ... just because local municipalities , yes local ( not state or federal ) are providing there officers with better equipment and armor to deal with assholes like those two in Stockton last week , it does not mean your local police forces are somehow being sanctioned or controlled by any big government . I am a law abiding, U.S. Constitution loving U.S. Citizen who will first and foremost protect every citizens civil rights before being advised by any big government how I will do my job of serving and protecting the Constitution . I think you will all be surprised just how many cops feel this way ... After all thats why we became cops .. The day our big government begins treating constitution loving Americans as outlaws , is the day I become one ! P.S. One sided news stories such as this are a waste of your time . They are no different than the preverbal carrot being hung in front of the donkeys nose to keep your interest where they want it .. Read , learn, educate yourselves on both sides of the argument .. Then bring your argument to the table ..
