John had his first appt with his spine surgeon, Dr. Wong, today, since his release from the hospital. All stitches officially removed! No restrictions lifted, but the doc was very pleased by Johns progress. He also said this, unfortunately, is just the phase of watching grass grow with Johns healing. Rest, medication when needed, dressing changes to his neck wound twice daily, and a walk here and there, as tolerated. They treated him like a king when we were at the Drs office. Everyone knew about his injury and made comments about him being their special miracle patient. They even bought us speciality coffees from their coffee shop on our way out. (By-the-way), coffee shops inside Dr offices? BRILLIANT!
