John had surgery today to reconnect his intestines and everything went well. Hes got a long road ahead of him, but hes got a good support team. I cant begin to thank everyone who has helped us along this journey. The doctors and nurses at City Hospital have been awesome, our family has been there with me through everything, my congregation has been a huge support, my former workmates at Green Transportation have sent me numerous texts full of encouragement, friends that Ive known since high school have offered so much encouragement, text messages from clients offering words of encouragement and my neighbors have seen to it that Diesel has been taken care of, getting my mail and bringing my trash can in. Im so thankful to have such wonderful people in my life. Im forever grateful to all of you, and mostly to my loving Heavenly Father Jehovah God for the peace and calm He has bestowed on us through this difficult time. He has made us strong. I know that he didnt cause this to happen to us because he doesnt work that way. But he has lovingly provided us with the strength to cope and I am so thankful for that. Tonight my prayers are for John to have a peaceful and restful night. #feelingthankful
