John snored the night away beside her watchful eyes, she couldnt sleep,she didnt have to sleep. After all the only in her entire world was almost leaving her. Mary bathed her chest with tears through out the weary and cold night to the frozen morning in prayers. John was her blessed child born after twenty five years of marriage and did Olu her husband not die two days before before their only child was born and to think that he was dieing barely four years after his birth tore at Marys heart like wild flames on harmattan bush. On the night of his birth day, he got bitten by a snake no one could identify as he played with his friends at the school foot ball field. God, why is my case different from others, why am i the unfortunate one? i did not sleep with other men before meeting my husband, yet see what my life has turned into Mary could not fanthom why misery should trail her life and marriage, as a teenager she had almost be presumed to become a pastor by neighbours because of her devotion to God and Church, some even called her Pastor Mary and she would smile and God bless you, as if she were a female version of Jesus. It was difficult for Mary to understand why God could neglect in her time of need after all the sacrifices shr made for his sake. Although, she didnt doubt his powers, she merely could not understand what had gone wrong with her life. She needed her son to live for her husbands sake if for nothing else...
