Im pretty certain that Nigerians are not suffering from short memory disease. It is instructive to note that OBY Ezekwesili , Mallam Nasir El-Rufai and ors were all hit women and men of OBJ Govt when elections were considered as do and die affair. Yours sincerely sufferred over the same period fighting for change in my home state. Ofcourse our efforts was manipulated by OBYs and El Rufais Govt. We bluntly refused to give up until 17.03.2006 the CA sitting at Enugu affirmed Garba Nabaruma LJ led election petition verdict on Anambra election 2003. Consequently HE Mr Peter Obi APGA was sworn in as Gov of Anambra state. They did not give up as HE Obi was impeached shortly afterwards. We went to back to our trench fighting until the Court ruled in our favour. Opposition leaders and other dissenting voices were hunted down like wild animals. Over the same the Nigerian manic boko haram was formed. We were hunted like Boko Haram whilst OBY was enjoying bullet proof Jeep as SA to President and later Minister. OBY Ezekwesili , and ors were in Govt when the wishes of majority in our home state were manipulated in 2003 to favour her Govt. Chief Uba was not alone , all those serving under OBASANJO regime from Anambra and SE state were privy to the election fraud committed in Anambra and SE in 2003. She played active role as PDP stakeholder and serving officer of the Govt. She was in Govt when her home state Anambra was set ablaze. It is stupid for anybody to think that Chris Uba was a lone wolf in the whole saga. Uba was made scape goat, many thanks to brown envlope media practitioners. Damaging to her and ors credibility is that none of them deemed it to resign and take on the street in protest as activist. in the face of all these atrocities. Today President Goodluck Jonathan insisted on free and fair election, a clear departure from OBY Govt do or die stance. He said and I quote no ambition is worth shielding blood of any Nigerian. Mr President commitment to free and fair election is second to none in history of democracy in Nigeria. His commitment to free and fair election gave birth to relatively strong opposition we see today. Mr President resolve to give Nigerians relatively free and fair election revived the democratic nature of all Nigerians precisely Ndi-Igbo. We saw how PDP lost in 2010. We saw how PDP incumbent lost to APGA in 2011 in Imo state and many other instances. To OBY and like minds, this is strange since they belong to the old school of thought that believed that elections are won and lost at Aso rock. I suspect OBY is not comfortable with this development at all, she want a situation where Aso Rock Mandate is more than enough to rule Anambra. She want a situation where her romance with her brother El Rufai is automatic ticket to whatever she want. She want to occupy political positions without having anything to do with the people at the grassroots.
