Joint Base Community - Due to a water main break on McGuire, portions of McGuire Boulevard will be closed until further notice to repair the break. Residents in the base housing area may experience short periods where there is a brownish tint to their water, but the water is safe to drink. The brownish tint is due to pressure changes in the pipes that stirred up minerals in the system. The base community is advised to flush their traps until the tint is gone and should do so if the brownish tint returns when the repairs are completed and the water main is reopened.
