Joint action of PEO - DEV-IS to ensure labour rights and a solution to the Cyprus problem No labour rights can be secured, while the Cyprus remains divided, are warning PEO and DEV-IS, in their joint statement, read out after the meeting, by the Secretary of PEO Pambis Kiritsis. Expressing support to the negotiation process, they emphasized that with the solution of the Cypriot people, the G/C and T/C, can work for universal progress in conditions of peace and prosperity under a unified economy with a single system of industrial relations and uniform working conditions. At a meeting of the Executive Office of PEO and the Executive Secretariat of the DEV-IS, at the offices of PEO, a review was made of the implementation of the joint program of activities in 2013, while the co-decided the program for 2014. The two organizations discussed the Cyprus issue. According to the joint statement: workers of Cyprus, G/C and T/C, faithful to the principles of international solidarity and class struggle, stand shoulder to shoulder with the workers in the European Union and around the world who resist anti-labor policies and the deregulation of labor relations.
