Joint bailiff/police ANPR operations suspended The Metropolitan Police have announced that they will cease roadside APNR checks with bailiffs, such as those seen in BBCs Parking Mad programme. These are highly controversial operations where the police stop cars, solely on the basis of the vehicles registration number, in order to help bailiffs collect fees on outstanding PCNs.
