Joint pain with Lupus is kind of normal. The knee pain Ive been having is not. It was so severe I went to see my Rhuemy... In addition to the osteoarthritis I have along with the lupus, he thinks I have developed gouty arthritis.... Gout. In my knee. So large needle was jammed under my knee cap, fluid drawn off to be sent in for analysis and then lidocaine and steroids shot in. About seven vials of blood were drawn for a bunch of different tests because he also thinks there may be some correlation with this knee and the muscle spasms Ive been having and low potassium levels on my blood draws. Somehow that connects to my kidneys.... Very confusing!! So Im back on oral steroids at high doses, until the blood and fluid samples come back... Next step is X-rays or MRI but not for a week. Happy birthday week to me!!!
