Jolted as I overheard a vicious curse word hurl out of a young mans mouth... its sharpness made me quench & suddenly, somewhere inside that split-second... I saw glimpses of my past.. hurling out that same curse.. I had a vile vocabulary.. common for someone living without God. ... In that second, I witnessed the face of the lady who was just cruelly criticized as she heard that curse word hit her ears as my eyes dropped to the small faces of the nearby children... my gut ached...recognizing the absence of Gods presence in this couples life, witnessing the damage created by 1 vicious word.. I was experiencing the intensity of this moment alone... that night as I prayed for that family, thoughts leaped onto me speaking this is hopeless.. thatll never change ~ IMMEDIATELY the Holy Spirit said.. Jesus found you!!! Didnt He? He found you in a bad place, doing bad things, speaking cruel, mean words to those you loved... you never said.. Ohh, Im going to go find Jesus today! Quite the contrary! Jesus sought you out, He came to visit you, telling you HE loved you & He was coming back. In that moment, everything in my life detached & fell off me as He helped me change my mind about HIM! I decided I didnt want HIM to leave me here... following Him, learning to love him more & more.. Now...When I pray for that family, hopelessness is replaced - by reminiscing over how Jesus & I met.. tonight I asked Jesus to seek out that young man, and his family and FIND them & help them change their mind about Him... youtu.be/RHj6auulHME
