JonJon, my 3-year-old, never ceases to amaze me. Hes bright, analytical and more like me than Gabby and Zeke. He has had an issue with a fever that reoccurs about once a month. It lasts for a day and then is gone. Yesterday was one of those days. Fridays during football season are always late nights for me. If I make it to bed by 1 a.m. its considered early. When I got home this morning, Zeke had assumed my spot in bed next to Melissa. Sharing a bed with Zeke is a lot like trying to sleep next to a kangaroo. ..a ton of rapid kick to clear out his space. It wasnt long and JonJon woke up crying. I packed up my pillows and went to comfort my angel. When I got got into the boys room and settled in, JonJon said Thanks daddy, I feel better now. My alarm was set for 6 a.m. this morning as we are currently on the road to Oklahoma to see my wifes family. When the alarm bell rang, JonJons fever had returned and he said to me Daddy, will you get me a nice cool drink of water? Not sure where he got that line from, but it was funny. My buddys fever is gone now and he is gibbering away in the back seat enjoying his cool drink of h2o.
