Jonathan Meets Traditional Rulers In Oil Producing States President Goodluck Jonathan held a meeting with traditional rulers from oil producing communities in the country behind closed doors. The leader of the delegation and paramount ruler of Mgbirichi/Ubakuru land in Imo State, Eze Ahurunkwe II, told State House correspondents that issues bordering on security, pipeline protection and infrastructure development among others were discussed at the meeting. He said that the delegation expressed worry over the recent abduction of schoolgirls in Chibok, as well as all activities of the Boko Haram sect. He said that it was a courtesy visit to express solidarity with the President and discuss some issues affecting the nation. The traditional rulers commended the President for convening the ongoing National Conference which they believe would go a long way in solving the nation’s problems.
