Jonathan Shapiro is a satirist and at times he can be funny in his sketches. But I think he needs to draw the line when he brings Religion into his satire. Using any type of Deity or picture of any Religion to depict corruption is not on. People of different faiths use their pictures or deities of their choices of their Religion for Prayer in times of need or to give Thanks to their Lord or Goddess that they pray to. He has no right to use Religious pictures to promote his own sickness in order to make his point. All he is doing is enriching himself at the expense of other people beliefs. This is not on. Any kind of apology from him will mean absolutely nothing as he has already degraded himself in my book and it will mean nothing coming from a sick individual like himself. In our present times when we continue to work towards UNITY OF ALL FAITHS so that all of us of different Religions can respect one another in our trying times, despite our respective beliefs, he is taking a step back by using a Religious Deity to depict corruption. He needs to show respect to all and by using any material be it from the Faith of Christianity, Muslim, Jewish, Buddhist or Hinduism to depict corruption is not right. Religions are not corrupt. Individuals are corrupt. By attacking a specific Religion he is attacking all who believe in that specific Religion.
