Jones has sold his mansion-estate in Roswell, GA, for a loss. Measuring 23,504 square feet in size, the rough equivalent of three baseball diamonds, the mansion originally hit the market in May 2013 for $3.195 million. It ultimately sold in March for $2.8 million—$395,000 less than his original ask and $1.53 million less than what Jones paid for the property in 2005. Located roughly 35 minutes north of Turner Field, Jones’ impressive estate has seven bedrooms, 11 bathrooms, six fireplaces and a six-car garage. Apparently built to host the entire Braves’ roster, interior highlights include three kitchens, two wet bars, a private movie theater and a massive grand foyer. Clad in luxury finishes, the first-floor master suite boasts a spa-like bathroom with separate closets and a custom safe. Outside, large entertainment spaces, a pool and spa area, and a separate party room with its own kitchen area are found within the two-and-a-half-acre property. Though he has sold his mansion, Jones isn’t leaving Atlanta anytime soon. The future Hall of Fame third baseman previously downsized from his massive digs in 2012, buying a modest-by-athlete-standards 4,500-square-foot home in the Roswell area for $1.22 million.
