Josh Mandel, Ohio State Treasurer is an idiot and is a crook. Proof? Read this: Last week, we were reminded just how far State Treasurer Josh Mandel is willing to go for his own political gain. We already knew that one of his top fundraisers, Benjamin Suarez, was indicted for potentially illegally funneling money to Josh Mandel and Jim Renaccis campaigns. Now it turns out that Mandel, in his official capacity as state treasurer, lobbied Congress and the State Treasurer of California on behalf of Suarez just days before more than $100,000 started rolling into his campaign account. And a spokesman for the California State Treasurer said Mandels letter read like a letter from an ill-informed constituent. Wow - Is this really the guy we want safeguarding more than $200 billion of our tax dollars? It’s way past time to evict Josh Mandel from the treasurer’s office. Time after time, Josh Mandel has found a way to embarrass himself and the treasurer’s office. Lets clean things up and restore public confidence in the office. The fact is, the treasurer’s office is probably one of the most important offices in the state government. A good treasurer has the ability to rein in costs, make smarter investments, and help get our state back on track. And this is NOT Josh Mandel.
