[Joshua 5:2-15] Back to the basic. Joshua was commanded to circumcise the male children. For the israelites, it is the sign of Gods covenant with their fathers,[see Genesis 17:10]. The Lord swore that none of the people who disobeyed Him in the wilderness would enter the promised Land. They all died in the wilderness. A great lesson indeed, for us to be careful not to disobey Gods commandments. Disobedience must be punished. [Read vs. 8-13] and see the events that followed. 1] God rolled away their reproach. 2] They participated in the Passover feast. 3] Manna ceased. They ate the fruit of the land Joshua accomplished his mission. God wants us to accomplish our mission on earth therefore live for Him.[Joshua 24:31]. God sanctify me to be vessel of honour for you in Jesus name[amen].
