Judges Needed for Advertising Campaign Event! Collegiate DECA is a student organization serving over 15,000 college students annually. Collegiate DECA has over 300 chapters in the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, and several U.S. territories. Collegiate DECA members are taking courses related to business, marketing, management, entrepreneurship, finance, and hospitality. In April 2014 Collegiate DECA will host its International Career Development Conference (ICDC) in Washington, DC – bringing over 1,500 members to the city! The ICDC is the highest level of career competition and leadership training that our members engage. Only the best and brightest members qualify to attend ICDC. At the ICDC Collegiate DECA members will be presenting projects that they have been working on during the school year. Think of it as a science fair, but for business and marketing projects. Just as a science fair needs judges to evaluate the projects, judges are also needed to evaluate projects at Collegiate DECA’s International Career Development Conference. Having business professionals serve as judges and mentors is critical both to the successful execution of our conference and the real world experience for our members. Collegiate DECA has an event called Advertising Campaign and would like to invite American Advertising Federation club members to judge and evaluate students participating in that specific event. Approximately 6-8 volunteers are needed on Friday, April 25 from 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM. All volunteers will receive breakfast, lunch, and a certificate of appreciation for their time. Training will take place that morning to ensure that all volunteers know what to expect and know how to evaluate students during the day. Interested individuals may register at deca.org/events/judge.
