#JudicialGreed #WeAreOne_ndering cc Via Njonjo Mue The Judicial Service Commission pays out Ksh. 80,000/- to each member per sitting, never mind that these are judges, advocates, etc. who already have paid jobs and dont take unpaid leave from those jobs to attend JSC meetings. But this should not surprise us. Kenya is a PerDiemocracy. Parliamentary committees rush to investigate all kinds of petty issues because of the sitting allowances they earn, and ministers and other public officials travel on benchmarking trips abroad to learn things they could easily read on the Internet so as to earn astronomical per diems. And Kenya claims to be a developing nation?!? Where, pray tell, shall we get these development resources if we are spending all our money to pay our leaders for, as Maina Kiai puts it, putting butts on chairs??
