Health insurance sign-up deadline SPINGFIELD,Mass (WWLP)–The deadline to sign up for health insurance through the state’s Health Connector is quickly approaching. Health connector representatives encourage you to sign up for coverage online but if you need help, their call centers and walk-in facilities will all be running extended hours Monday until 7 P.M. and Tuesday until 9 P.M. Tuesday, December 23rd is the deadline to sign up specifically for those of you who qualify and need coverage by January 1st and for anyone who is transitioning from temporary coverage in the current year. If that’s you, here’s the steps you’ll need to take: Using the health connector’s website, MAhealthconnector.org, you will need to complete an application. That will tell you what program you are eligible for, Then you need to pick a plan, and pay the premium for the coverage. If you don’t have access to the internet you can call the health connector for help at 1-800-MA-Enroll or 1-877-623-6765.
