July 1, 2013, UPDATE CSEA Coordinated Bargaining had its 5th bargaining session with the District on June 28th OSS Negotiating Team had its 7th bargaining session with the District on July 1, 2013 Our current contract with the district stays in full effect until we sign new agreement **Our Contract language supersedes District policy ** During Coordinated Bargaining on June 28, 2013; * District proposed Elimination of our Equity Clause * District proposed to pay full costs of Medical Benefits to only December 2014 then renegotiating changes leaving our benefits in jeopardy * District refuses to agree to a wage increase until all the other Bargaining Units have received 7% restoration we are now getting During OSS negotiations on July 1, 2013 we had discussions regarding; * Safety Conditions; Freezer Workers, Excessive Heat, and Hazardous Conditions Pay * District Proposed changes to our Personal Business * Evaluations; District Proposed to begin yearly evaluations Your Negotiating Team and you did not work to pass Prop 30 and Save Education to have our Membership so disrespected in Contract negotiations BE READY TO RALLY SOON The Team recognizes the District’s Proposals are “takeaways,” and our Bargaining Team is committed to protect our Contract Language with NO CONCESSIONS!
