July 1, 2014 Blessed Junipero Serra, Priest Tuesday 13th Week in Ordinary Time Lord, You are the unshakeable Rock of my salvation who continues to remain firm even in the storms that may threaten my spirituality. Grant that I may never allow the troubled experiences in my life to overwhelm my own experience of faith. Increase this faith of mine and reveal Your divine presence in my boat as I believe that every wave and gust of wind is an invitation for me to recognize Your abiding presence and thus, make me cling more closely to You. And when the storms of life toss me about on the perilous waves of this world’s chaotic activity, help me to trust that You will console my heart, calm my many fears and doubts and preserve my joy even in the midst of all my trials and adversities. As You address the storm that rages in my heart, open my eyes to see these trials as precious opportunities to grow in faith. Help me to rely on You in all circumstances as I confidently place all my cares into Your loving hands. Amen Based on Today’s Gospel: Matthew 8:23-27
