July 16 Its been a pretty good day today. Anna went on two walks. This morning was the garden and she got to stand on the stepping stones for the first time ever. They managed to wheel the Berlin over close enough to let her reach them. The second we walked to the fish tank on the first floor and Robert bought us some smoothies from the cafeteria. After watching the fish for a bit, it was back to the garden. The weather is so nice here right now. Sydney has also taken an interest in my camera so she ran around the garden with my phone taking photos. The one of the bubbles and the fairy are hers. Not too bad. After a long day of asking questions and talking to multiple people, it looks like Anna will finally be able to be taken out of isolation. This will open up a few areas of the hospital that she hasnt been able to go to before. We would like her to be able to go to the therapy gym and maybe to some of the craft activities in the playroom. We may still have to get those okayed by the powers that be. Four months going to the same places over and over has gotten a little old. And the touch dogs can come in the room now!! The only change today is that they want to increase her feeds by a couple of hours because her weight has been steady. Dressing change day is tomorrow and we just pray for clean sites and no surprises. And of course her comfort.
