July 26 - Apples of Gold To share the compassion of Jesus is indeed the bottom line for all of us. As Romans 12:8 makes clear, one person may share and communicate that love through service; another, through mercy, giving, administration, exhortation, prophecy, and so on. One way the world will know that we are His (John 17:20–23) is when every member of the Body understands and fulfills his own function or role and understands and encourages the roles of others about him, for this is truly working together in unity. From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love. —Ephesians 4:16
