[July 28th, 2014 Reset Day 3] Todays Word that I read was Mathew 2:1-23 & 3:1-17 1.) In the first one, it was talking about Jesuss birth and when the wisemen came to see him. Also it talked about when Herod brought wrath upon all the baby boys 2/under. - What I received from the verses is whenever God has a plan...there is nothing in this world that can stop it. And we honestly have to trust God in all things. If the wisemen and Joseph never listened to the warnings given by the Angel, they could have been in trouble, yet because of their obedience to the spirits guidance...Herod never learned of Jesuss location and Jesus was saved by the killing in Bethlehem. 2.) The second talked about how John the Baptist prepared the way and baptized Jesus. - What I received from that was that not only we must prepare the way for the return of the Lord, but in it we must always stay humble and not bring self glorification. For example John did not wear the best of clothes and lived in the most rugged place because he knew that everything else was unimportant and just necessity. He had a job to prepare the way and made it very clear that he was just a vessel by God and nothing else. Also when Jesus arrived and asked to be baptized by John, his understanding was that he was unworthy to baptize the Son of God...yet sometimes God has a different plan then we predict. Thats why we must have an open Mind and Heart to receive that God may use us for grater things and has a purpose for our lives
