July 30, 2013 Calling all Men We believe in the axiom, "As go the men, so go the families and so goes the church." God has called men to be the spiritual leader in their families. our church and it outreach and service to our community, and we want to equip you to be strong men at Lena United Methodist Church. Toward that end one of our focused ministries is our monthly Men’s Breakfast on the first Saturday morning of the month at 8:00 AM in the Fellowship Hall at the church. We gather for a hot freshly prepared breakfast served with coffee and juice. Around the table we discuss topics of interest and then have a devotional or testimony time featuring myself or one of the men. This next Saturday Randy Kryder is coming to share about his bike ride across the state of Iowa in the recent Ragbrai bicycle marathon. Randy’s teammate, Craig Robieson, records these phenomenal statistics, “According to my computer we rode 489.05 miles 34 hours 32 minutes and burned 31,735 calories and climbed a total of 17400 feet of hills.” Come and hear about Randy’s testimony about this international event and enjoy the fellowship of the men of the church.
