Jumblatt reorganizing his business affairs September 03, 2013 12:26 AM By Dahlia Nehme The Daily Star BEIRUT: Head of the Progressive Socialist Party MP Walid Jumblatt is reorganizing his business affairs after a close aide requested to be relieved of these duties, said a statement which dispelled rumors the two were quarreling. Media reports speculated he was in a dispute with his closest aide and business partner Bahij Abu Hamzeh, but a statement issued from Jumblatt’s office offered clarification, saying the PSP head “has been carrying out a series of rearrangements lately that aim to reorganize and redistribute responsibilities related to the management of his private properties and companies, as Bahij Abu Hamzeh has been handling these tasks for over 30 years.” The statement emphasized that all rumors of bad blood between Jumblatt and Abu Hamzeh were not true.
